We’re making improvements to help emails sent through Tripleseat reach your guests’ inboxes more reliably.
This work focuses on inbox placement - improving how emails are recognized by major email providers and reducing signals that may cause legitimate guest communications to be filtered as spam or junk. We’ve been gradually rolling out these improvements while monitoring their impact, and they will soon be available to all Tripleseat users.
What’s changing?
You may notice a few changes to emails sent through Discussions. We’re simplifying the email template and removing elements that are no longer necessary or may be interpreted as spam signals by email providers.
Updates include:
- Removing the “Reply above this line” separator
- Making the email thread token visible, rather than hiding it within the email
- Additional behind-the-scenes infrastructure improvements designed to support better inbox placement
These updates do not change how Discussions work. Guests can continue receiving and replying to messages as they do today.
More Discussions improvements are coming
We’re also working on additional updates to make email conversations through Discussions easier to follow, including:
- Greater recipient visibility, with To and CC information displayed within the email
- A refreshed email design with a cleaner, more streamlined layout
Why are we making these changes?
Email providers consider many different signals when deciding whether a message belongs in the inbox, spam folder, or elsewhere.
Some elements that were once considered email best practices can now work against deliverability. By modernizing our email templates, strengthening our sending infrastructure, and removing unnecessary signals, we can help email providers more accurately recognize Tripleseat emails as legitimate business communications.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required. These improvements will be applied automatically as they become available.
Inbox placement is an ongoing effort rather than a single change. We’ll continue monitoring performance, measuring the results of these updates, and making additional improvements to help your important guest communications reach their intended recipients.
