We’ve introduced a new option that allows guests to authorize their credit card for all event-related payments, including the final balance. This streamlines the payment process, reduces the need for follow-ups, and ensures a hassle-free experience for both guests and venues.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
For Venues:
- A new setting is available under Settings > Payment Rules, allowing venues to enable or disable this feature for their guests.
- If enabled, a checkbox will appear in the Guest Portal, giving guests the option to authorize their card for all event payments and the final balance.
For Guests:
- When authorizing a credit card in the Guest Portal, guests will see a new checkbox:
- Once selected, this card will be automatically designated for all payments related to the event.
WHERE WILL I SEE THIS INFORMATION?
The Payments tab on the event will display a credit card icon next to any authorized card.
The payment processing screen will show a message confirming the card is approved for final balance charges.
The billing widget on event documents will indicate that the card on file will be used for all payments.
HOW DO I ENABLE THIS FEATURE?
This feature is disabled by default. You can enable it under Settings > Payment Rules.
