Creating Events in a Booking
In this article, we will review how to add events to your booking.
Ways to Add Events
There are two ways to add events.
- From the Booking details page
- And from The Events Grid
Adding Events from the Booking Details Page
Let’s review from the Booking details page first. When creating or editing a booking, while on the Booking details page, you have the option to add events as needed by clicking the Add Event button. Event level F&B and Rental fees can be added along with other details that can be entered at this time.
Adding Events from the Events Grid
While adding events through the Events Grid, you will also click the “Add Event” button as needed. Anytime events are added, there are certain fields that must be filled out.
The event name should be clearly defined. The event status is required and will usually mirror the status of the booking as a whole. Event statuses can differ from the booking if not fully confirmed.
Start and end times, along with an event space and guest count, will also be required before saving.
Conflicting Events and Overbooking
Tripleseat will always alert you of conflicting events and not allow overbooking.
Event Type and Setup Type
Event type and Setup type are not required but should always be selected for reporting purposes.
Adding Event-Level Financials
If you decide to apply F&B minimum and rental fees per event and you want to add them through the Grid, to the right of each event, you will click the icon to view event level in a new window, edit the event, and scroll to the F&B and Rental fee financials.
The rest of the financials will auto-populate after adding billable items through your booking docs.
