Tripleseat’s Hotel Sales Goals feature helps you set, track, and manage revenue targets by user or location. Goals can include guest room sales and guest room night targets, allowing you to align teams, measure performance, and identify growth opportunities.
Sales goals aren’t static — they’re designed to be managed and adjusted as your business evolves. This guide covers how to configure goals, add users, input targets, and monitor progress at both user and location levels.
Note: Only users with Settings access can create, view, and edit Sales Goals.
Navigate to Settings > Sales Performance Goals and Reporting
Customers who have not already set up Sales Goals within their group will be prompted to do so at the following page when they go to Settings > Sales Goals.
Configuration
Time Period: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Fiscal Period (if enabled).

Goal Type:
User Goals per Location → set goals per user, per location.
Overall User Goals → one total goal per user.

Recognized Revenue:
By Event Date (when the event happens).
By Definite Date (when the event is confirmed).

Counted Towards Goal:
Event Actuals
Custom Menu Item Categories (e.g., Food, Beverage, AV, Room Rental, Labor, Meeting Packages)
Optional Guest Room Inclusion
Note: Changes to these selections in the future may change goals.
Note: The "Add Users" button will be greyed out until the configuration is done.
Add Users
After configurations are saved, the + Add Users button will be available.
Select + Add Users.
Choose from the list of available users.
Click Save.
Customers who have not already set up Sales Goals within their group will be prompted to do so at the following page when they go to Settings > Sales Goals.
Add Goals
Enter goal values in any blank space.
Select Save Changes before leaving the page.
To adjust past periods, click into editable fields.

Use the autofill feature to quickly populate empty fields:
Enter a number in the first editable column.
It will automatically fill future empty cells on that page.
Autofill will not overwrite existing numbers.
You can toggle between:
User View → see each user across locations.
Location View → see each location with assigned users.
View and Track Progress
Once the configuration and user selections are set up, users will see their sales goals on the main Tripleseat Dashboard and the Sales Goals and Performance page.
Dashboard
- View your individual Sales Goals on the Tripleseat dashboard Admin users will be able to see the company total, which is the combined total Sales Goals for all users across all locations in the group.
- For more information on Sales Goals, click on the Goal Number to be directed to an Event Details report that shows all the events contributing to that goal.

- Use widgets for a quick view of metrics.
- If using Overall User Goals – see all users on a single page.
- If using User Goals per Location, use the toggle to switch views:
- View by User — see each user across locations.
- View by Location — see each location with assigned users.

Progress Report
The Progress Report tab will show a visual breakdown of our goals and the revenue we have accrued against them. This includes the following:
View overall company goal at the top with collapsible By User and By Location views (only with User Goals per Location type).
The Overall Company Goal and Location Goal will include all event revenue from all users - not just the users with sales goals set up.
Adjust and Manage Goals
To edit goals, click into the cells, adjust values, and Save Changes.
To adjust configurations, select Configuration in the top-right corner.
You can change:
Time Period
Goal Type
Recognized Revenue Date
What counts toward the goal
⚠️ Configuration Changes:
Switching goal types clears or merges existing goals.
Changing the time period redistributes goals across the new timeframe.
