You will see the "Opted In to Mass Emails" field when looking at a Contact, editing a lead form, or customizing a Contact Report. This field can tell you if a guest has opted in to receive promotional or mass emails from your company.
WHY IT MATTERS
In accordance with the Can-Spam Act, guests must consent to have their email addresses added to promotional email lists. For that reason, all leads that come through the Tripleseat lead form are opted out of promotional emailing by default unless they choose to opt in. Websites cannot automatically add inquirers' emails to promotional emailing without their say-so. This means that it would go against the Can-Spam Act to manually adjust a Contact's opt-in status without their consent.
