Our On-Site Check-In feature helps alleviate any stress with registration by providing a hands-free way of sending your on-site staff an access code that they can enter to check in attendees via QR Code!
In the Tickets dashboard, select the name of the event > On-Site Check-In in the lower left to start.
*If you do not see this icon, this feature is not enabled for you. Contact your Customer Success Manager to see if it can be.
From the On-Site Check-In page, click ‘Generate Access Code’ to prepare the event for on-site check-in. Using the ‘Copy Access Code’ button, share this code with your check-in team. You must provide this code to anyone responsible for check-ins.
Add a QR Code to Your Registration Confirmation Email
In order to use the Event Scan option on the check-in website, you must make sure you enable a unique QR code that can be accessed by each attendee. To do this, we recommend adding the QR code to your attendees’ registration email.
To add this code to the Registration Email:
- Head to the Tickets Dashboard and select the event you are hoping to include this QR code for.
- Next, navigate to Registration > Confirmations > Scroll down to the “Confirmation Email” section.
- Click into the email editor, and place your cursor where you would like to add this code
- Select Placeholders from the Toolbar > Attendee QR Code
- Be sure to hit Save when finished.
When you preview your confirmation email, you should see the QR code appear. Attendees will now be able to use this email when they arrive at the event to check in.
Please note: If you have already started registration and opted to add QR codes later, you will want to resend the confirmation email to anyone already registered. This can be done through their Attendee Profile at Registration > General > Attendees.
Tickets With Multi-Guest Registration
- If your event uses multi-registration ticket options, and each additional registrant is registered with an email address, they will receive their check-in QR code via email.
- If the additional registrants do not have email addresses, the primary registrant will receive an email for each secondary registrant.
- Primary registrants can always log in to their account to view their QR code along with all of their secondary registrants.
Begin Check-In
When it comes time to check people in, anyone in charge of managing check-ins at the event will go to checkin.tripleseattickets.com and enter the code that was generated on the On-Site Check-In screen.
Check-In with QR Code
After entering the code, your staff will be able to scan attendees into the event.
When scanning, hold the QR code up to the scanner within the “Event Scan” tab. Completing this process will check in the attendee.
Note: The QR code scanner will not scan QR codes or barcodes that are not associated with your event.
Manual Check-in
To manually check in attendees, go to the “Attendees” tab to search for a specific attendee by name or email address.
Clicking the check-in icon on the right of this screen checks the Attendee into the event, but not a specific session. To check in an attendee for a specific session, open the Attendee's profile by clicking their name. From here, you can select individual sessions to check the attendee into.
