Now that you’ve created your Booking Documents and Contract, you're all set up for the next steps of detailing. When you and your client have decided on details, you’ll go back into your document set to add individual event-specific information. Please review the process below.
Detailing Events within Your Booking Documents
- Navigate to the Master Docs tab and click on the set of documents you already added to this booking. (*please note, it is best practice to only use one set of documents per booking to consolidate all financials)
- Now you're within your documents. between the Booking tab and Preview tab, each Event within will have its own tab for specific detailing

- As you scroll down each Event, you will add items through picklist fields and notes in text fields
Picklist Fields
Picklist items represent goods and services that you are charging your guest and should be the primary way you add cost to your Bookings.
- You can select from your preset Picklist menus by clicking the add from Picklist button
- Add or adjust the quantity
- Prices can be added or adjusted
- You can also edit the description line on items that will only be reflected on this Event
If there is a special request or custom menu, you can use the Add Freehand button for billable items.
- Click the Add Freehand button
- Fill in the quantity, description, and price
- Be sure to select a category so the correct fees and taxes apply
- And Add
Text fields
Text fields allow you to add additional information, such as food and beverage notes and setup notes.
- Type notes and communication freely in any text fields
- The toolbar can be used to edit and customize your text
- Hyperlinks, images, tables, and files can be added
- The content template drop-down can access saved information specifically for the section
- Merge fields can also be utilized on the fly
- Be mindful of where each text field is set to populate. Guest-facing vs. Internal
Things to note about Event level details and sections
- Tripleseat utilizes magic headers within the Documents meaning that any section that is not filled in will not show up on your Document set
- All events charges will collectively add into the Booking Grand Total
- Text and Picklist items totals will all be displayed in the Master docs, separated by appropriate headers
