If you offer services priced per person per hour — such as an open bar — you can set this up in your picklist by creating a separate line item for each hour increment.
How it works:
Rather than a single item with a complex pricing formula, you'll create individual items for each duration (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, etc.), each with the corresponding per-person price. When adding the item to an event, simply enter the guest count as the quantity — Tripleseat will calculate the total automatically.
Setting Up Your Picklist Items:
- Head to Settings > Picklist
- Select an existing picklist to edit, or create a new one
- Enter the item description (e.g. "Open Bar 1 hour") and the per-person price
- Select the appropriate Menu Item Category from the dropdown
- Click + Add to save the item
- Repeat steps 3–5 for each additional hour increment
- Once all items have been added, click Save

Select the appropriate hour increment, then enter the number of guests as the quantity. Tripleseat will calculate the total based on the per-person rate and guest count.
