In addition to the statuses that come out of the box with Tripleseat, a Customer Admin for your group may enable one extra event status called Waitlist. The Waitlist status allows users to create an event in a room, even if there is already another event in that space for the given day and time. If the original event turns to Lost, then the Waitlisted event will bump to Prospect so your team can follow up on that potential business.
This status applies to events only but may still be used by your venue even if you create documents and record payment on the booking level. Example - say a Corporate Retreat already has a Welcome Dinner, Cocktail Hour, and Company Meeting set up as events within a booking. You could create another waitlisted event for a Farewell Breakfast that they'd like to host on the last day but for which the room they want is unavailable.
A Customer Admin for your account can enable the Waitlist status by following the steps below:
- Go to Settings > Preferences.
- Scroll past Event Status Rules and click 'Change Waitlist Status or Unassigned Room.'
- Click Enable Waitlist Status.
- Click Update.
