'Restrict to these Picklists' is a valuable feature for maintaining organization within multi-location groups or locations with numerous menus. This feature allows you to limit what Picklists are available to select from in certain Picklists sections of the document template. An example of this would be allowing only Food picklists to appear in the Food section or Beverage picklists in the Beverage section, etc.
Follow these steps to start restricting your Picklists:
- Head to Settings > Documents.
- Click on Edit Template Content.
- Scroll to the Picklist section on that page where you’d like to restrict Picklists.
- Scroll through 'Restrict to these Picklists' and select the Picklists that should be available for this section.
- Repeat these steps for all Picklist fields as needed.
- Click Save Template in the upper left when you are done.
Pro Tip: If you have restricted any of your current Picklists in a Picklist field, any newly created Picklists will need to be restricted in the same way. Otherwise, you will not see the new Picklist in the document template when detailing an event.
