This article will explain how you can disable your current credit card processor to start taking payments through your new Tripleseat Payments account.
To enable the Tripleseat Payments account in Tripleseat, the previous payment integration must first be disabled. Please note that only a Customer Admin has the necessary access to make this update.
Below are the step-by-step directions to remove a previous payment processor and enable Tripleseat Payments:
- Navigate to Settings > Online Payments.
- Click 'Edit' to the right of the integration to be removed.
- Uncheck all locations that should be detached from the integration.
- Click Save.
- Once back to Settings > Online Payments, click Edit to the right of Tripleseat Payments.
- Check the box for any location that will be using Tripleseat Payments.
- Click Save.
Please note: When the connection to a payment processor is severed, previously stored credit cards are no longer accessible as the former processor authorized them. Credit card information would need to be reauthorized with the active Tripleseat Payments account. Below is a helpful template to share with your guests for these requests.

We’re looking forward to hosting your upcoming event on [event date] at [event location].
I’m writing to request a reauthorization of your credit card for your event. We recently moved to a new payment platform, and due to PCI compliance reasons will need to reauthorize your card. You may access your event and the secure payment portal via the link below. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your attention to this matter.
