Event Statuses exist to denote where an event is in the planning process. While events with a Prospect status are automatically allowed to overlap with other Prospect events, other statuses will place a hold on the room in question. Limiting statuses from overlapping prevents accidentally overbooking your space, and you may have encountered the below error before:
As best practice, we do not recommend changing your event status rules. However, if there is a particular room at your venue where you need to allow overlapping events, it is possible to change your site setup. First, someone from your group should email support@tripleseat.com and share the name of the room where you need to ignore conflicts. Second, a Customer Admin should take the steps to change the event status rules. This article will explain how they can do that.
To change the event status rules in Tripleseat, a Customer Admin should:
- Go to Settings > Preferences.
- In Event Status Rules, they can click off which statuses should be able to overlap with which.
- Click Update.
Because this change occurs in Preferences, this will update the event status rules at all locations within your group, not just one of them.
