This article explains how you can update the primary contact of an event in Tripleseat. Tripleseat events may have multiple contacts that you can email and share guest portal information with. However, every event must have a primary contact. This matters because the primary contact will be the one whose information will flow into merge fields in your event docs.
To change the primary contact of an event, you will first need to ensure a second contact is added to the event. The instructions that follow explain how to add a second contact to an event, along with how to update who is listed as the primary.
- Go to the event where you would like to add a second contact.
- Press Edit in the top right corner.
- Under the Contacts section, click Add a Contact.
- Now you can either create a new account and contact or search for an existing account or contact.
*If you would like to add the contact to the account that is already associated with the event, search for the account > click on the name > add the contact’s information > Create. - While still in the editor, click on the second contact’s name and check the box that says “Make primary for this event.” That guest will now be the primary contact for the event moving forward.
- Be sure to click Update once you are done.
